Ok, as you may already know, I am a musician. This is a pretty important part of my life as I've been at it pretty relentlessly for the last 7 years. I set up this page to kinda explain what I've been doing in music these last 7 years. So here it goes: first you should know that I was very interested in music from a very young age, but we never quite had the money for me to take lessons, so I did stuff like try (and succeed) to break into my moms old Alto Saxophone case, as well as attempt to teach myself piano at the age of 4. As you might have guessed none of these endeavors went as I might have hoped, so I waited until 6th grade, just to get put on Bass Clarinet rather than my preferred Alto Sax. I went on resenting Bass Clarinet until the following year (2007) when I would stumble upon an old live cassette recording of The King of Swing, Benny Goodman, (who, if you don't already know, also played Clarinet) while doing chores at my Great Grandmas house. It was when I first popped in the cassette in my grandmas car radio that my life changed. I immediately asked for lessons and my life took off. 

This is what I've done since then: 

• Private Lessons with world renown saxophonist, Tracy Knoop.
• Tacoma Youth Symphony Association; I started out in the Tacoma Debut Orchestra, then jumped to the second to top group by my sophomore year of HS, the Tacoma Young Artists Orchestra.
•  Puget Sound Youth Wind Ensemble; principal clarinet in my first year.
• Peninsula High School Symphonic (the premiere ensemble at PHS); since freshman year, one of only four freshman to get in, I was principal clarinet by the following year. 
• Peninsula High School Jazz Band; second tenor sax in the top jazz band freshman year, the following year I bested the former lead tenor and became lead. This year I'm Lead Alto. 
• Evergreen Music Festival 2008 (Evergreen State College)- Tacoma Youth Symphony
• Evergreen Music Festival 2009 (Central Washington University)- Tacoma Youth Symphony
• 2012 All-State Concert Band
• Lakebay Community Church Youth Group Worship Leader
• Lakebay Community Church Worship Team Member- Keyboardist
• Peninsula High School East Coast Tour
• Peninsula High School Clarinet Section Leader 
• Tacoma Concert Band Young Artist
